We seek individuals aligned with our mission and values to join our team.About the Position:The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) at CSUF, comprising five departments, offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in various sciences. We are looking for an exceptional IT Consultant to support our Geological Sciences department, characterized by a positive attitude, energetic approach, ethical practices, and a commitment to diversity.The IT Consultant will provide technical support and training to faculty, students, and staff, managing the department's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and web services. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and securing applications and hardware, managing departmental labs and servers, supporting web development, and providing user training and documentation. The role also involves procurement and coordination with campus IT services, emphasizing collaboration and proactive problem-solving.Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field plus two years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience (eight years full-time or associate's degree plus four years experience).
• Demonstrated understanding of advanced principles and ability to apply technical knowledge independently, recognize problems, and develop solutions.
• Strong communication skills, ability to train others, and work collaboratively on projects.
• Background check required.Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of educational computing systems and multimedia software.
