Job Description Job Description Job Description This posting is for a Senior Advanced Project Engineer to support the Supplier Readiness Air and Thermal value stream. The Supplier Readiness Project Engineering team works closely with the matrixed component design group covering Design, Materials & Stress Engineering. The Project Engineering team directly supports the Air and Thermal value stream leaders & program managers developing strategies and supporting the execution of supplier transition objectives. Supplier Readiness is a part of Honeywell Corporate Supplier Excellence strategy and one of Honeywell Aerospace's Top priorities. Supplier Readiness focusses on exit suppliers, high impact past due parts and dual source parts. The Supplier Readiness team is a cross functional engineering and ISC team with dedicated full-time resources. Responsibilities Knowledge of the broad Honeywell organization with the ability to make decisions with broad organizational support to achieve the Supplier Readiness initiatives through influence and escalation as necessary. Support substantiation testing requirements, data analysis, test procedure and report writing Support test objectives and procedures, overseeing the preparation of test units Prepares and presents Engineering Part Analysis (EPA), Transition Design Reviews (TDR), Risk Assessments and Supplier Qualifications. Ensures the appropriate level of reviews are conducted while identifying & implementing opportunities for standardization, cycle time reduction and cost reduction across multiple sites. Draw on intuition, engineering experience, and judgment to formulate pragmatic actions from diverse information. Coordinate engineering resources (Design, Structures, Chief, etc.) to complete design changes and part substantiation. Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers to drive technical and schedule adherence. Drive on-time execution of Supplier Readiness objectives by working with value stream leader and program managers to achieve dual sourcing objectives by breaking down technical barriers. Drives execution of Supplier Readiness objectives within the Honeywell technical community through effective communication and collaboration . Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics 8 years of experience in Project Engineering or equivalent. Experience working closely with Integrated Supply Chain and Honeywell suppliers on development parts, transition execution and production producibility issues. Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness, even in the face of complexity. Bachelor's degree in engineering WE VALUE Experience working closely with Integrated Supply Chain and Honeywell suppliers on transition execution and production producibility issues. Budget and schedule management skills; established operating system for milestones, financial performance, fill rate, project status Demonstrated takes-ownership and results-orientated attributes in current or previous role. Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events. Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience. Collaborate with other team members for support. The annual base salary range for this position is $133,000 - $166,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
