University (ASU) is looking for a professional, attentive, and
welcoming Front Desk Office Coordinator to join the ASU California
Center Broadway team. You will serve as the first point of contact
for all visitors at ASU Broadway in Los Angeles. The center is in
the Historic Herald Examiner building in the Downtown neighborhood
of South Park. In this position, you will utilize your multitasking
skills and knowledge of ASU California Center Broadway departments
and programs to greet and assist visitors, answer phone calls,
direct event guests and support the administrative operations of
the front desk. You’ll work closely with other front desk staff and
the Director of Operations to create a positive experience for all
guests. You will use your knowledge of ASU to answer questions and
connect visitors to the appropriate department, including alumni,
prospective students, parents, community partners and curious
Angelenos. Successful candidates will be excellent communicators,
dependable, professional and organized with a commitment to
providing excellent customer service. Successful candidates will

instructions below. Essential Duties: Greet all visitors, students
and employees entering the building Create a welcoming and
professional environment for all students, visitors and employees,
providing a high level of customer service Register visitors in
online visitor management system Direct visitors according to the
purpose of their visit: alert meeting hosts that visitor has
arrived, direct to event or meeting location, facilitate access to
secure areas of the building Provide visitors with information
about ASU in Los Angeles Answer the primary ASU Broadway telephone
number, route calls to the proper extensions, take and deliver
messages Work in tandem with the Office Coordinator at Grand to
ensure alignment in processes between buildings Look up meeting
locations in the building space management system, make
reservations for meetings and workspace Perform a variety of
administrative tasks in support of the building operations,
meetings and events Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Accept deliveries and mail, organize to be distributed to the
correct recipients in a timely manner while also managing outgoing
mail and packages for pickup Print, fax and scan documents Other
duties as assigned Desired Qualifications: Experience working at a
reception/lobby/front desk, including greeting and directing
visitors and providing information about the organization
Experience providing a high level of customer service experience,
preferably in an office or higher education setting Experience
performing a variety of administrative duties including answering
phones and transferring calls, collecting and organizing
information, maintaining phone and email lists, printing, reserving
meeting space Evidence of strong verbal and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn about a large organization and communicate to
others about the organization Demonstrated skill in following
instructions Demonstrated reliability Highly organized and detail
oriented Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint), Google Docs, Dropbox Bilingual preferred Knowledge of
Arizona State University preferred Knowledge of the Downtown Los
Angeles and surrounding area preferred Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office
setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding,
manipulating a computer mouse and using a telephone Required to
stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to
perform work Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and
pulling up to 25 pounds Regular activities require ability to
quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to
resolution of conflicts Clearly communicate to perform essential
functions This role is fully onsite from 8am-5pm Monday through
